Pyrus communis 'Luscious' SDSU introduction 1973 (South Dakota E31 x Ewart). Juicy, sweet, medium to small bright yellow fruit. Blooms early May. Tree globe shaped. Glossy green foliage, red fall color. Excellent dessert pear for northern Great Plains. Fire blight resistant.
